The Kataku Enterprise Solution

Kataku Enterprise is a state-of-the-art automatic machine translation product that allows users to automatically translate source Indonesian text into English. Designed for a server-client environment it allows the user to translate a range of source text types:

  • Cut and paste small amounts of text (eg e-mails)
  • SMS text messages via an enhanced SMS module
  • File or document uploads
  • URL's (web-pages and .html)

Translated text, files and webpages can be saved and stored for future retrieval. The special SMS module helps handle the linguistic challenges associated with the peculiarities, abbreviations and slang evident in SMS text messages.

Kataku methodology uses both the structure and meaning of the source language to generate a contextual translation. Kataku is not a simple 'dictionary-style word look-up' system, it is trying to understand how the words are being used.

The Kataku Lexical Editor is a powerful tool that guides the user in adding their own words and phrases into the lexicon for use by Kataku Enterprise.
