Roles

Computational Linguists

Computational Linguists with graduate or post-graduate qualifications are sought as part of a multidisciplinary team. They should possess a solid foundation in morphology, semantics, syntax and other branches of linguistics.

Experience in language parsing and working in multi-developer software projects is desirable. Programming experience in Prolog and C/C++/C# is highly desirable.

Software Engineers

Software engineers with graduate or post-graduate qualifications in computer science are sought as part of a multi-disciplinary team. They should possess excellent communication skills, a solid foundation in C/C++, Unicode, XML and QA processes. Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows environments is desirable. VB.net or SQL skills would be an advantage.

Experience in Natural Language Processing techniques and technologies is a plus as would enthusiasm for solving interesting problems.

Lexicographers – Indonesian, Malay and Tagalog

Indonesian and Tagalog lexicographers with graduate or post-graduate qualifications are sought as part of a multidisciplinary team. Indonesian or Tagalog language studies, linguistics or ESL qualifications would be highly regarded. Native or near-native Indonesian or Tagalog language skills are essential.

Experience encoding foreign language terminology according to specific conventions would be highly desirable but not essential. The ability to formulate problems in a logical way is essential, and excellent communication and team working skills are also necessary.
